Helpful tips for your visit to Acadia National Park
Acadia National Park is located at roughly 45º N latitude, exactly halfway between the Equator and the North Pole. This puts the park in the middle battleground between the hot, humid air of the tropics and the cold, dry air of the Arctic. Storms in these middle latitudes follow fairly predictable paths called storm tracks, and almost all storm tracks in the United States have the potential to pass through Maine.

GUEST REVIEWS
"What an amazing experience! This was our first yurt/glamping trip. We stayed for an entire week with two young kids. Everyone was super friendly, very welcoming and just all around awesome. The kids enjoyed picking mint for their water every day and eating fresh lettuce. They had opportunities to feed the chickens and meet new friends. The week here was truly the most relaxing vacation we have had. I look forward to returning and seeing how they grow."

We enjoyed our first yurt and glamping experience tremendously. The yurts are bright, airy, and comfortable for a family of four with a lot of new, luxurious touches. The community firepit is a nice place to unwind after a day of adventures. This side of the island brings you closer to Thurston's, Beech Cliff trails, Echo Lake & Beach, and the Flying Mountain trail.

"Our recent visit to Acadia Wilderness Lodge was delightful. The host and her staff were attentive to our every need. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. Our Yurt was tastefully decorated and very comfortable for a party of four. Adding to the experience was the 'village' element. A centrally located fire pit and an adjacent game area made mingling with others an option. The location was also a plus. The west side of Mt. Desert Island has much to offer with fewer crowds. It was a wonderful stay."

"My daughter and I spent the week at Acadia Wilderness Lodge. It was wonderful! Staying in a yurt was just a fun experience but add to that how spa like the decor and surroundings were and it was a huge hit! Loved the outdoor spaces and spend lots of time by the fire pit. Drive over to Acadia for hikes most days and Bar Harbor for nicer restaurants and shopping. Those were all easily accessible and it was nice to be not In the middle of the crowds!!!"
